THE CURTAIN went up last night on one of Leeds Grand Theatre’s most eagerly awaited productions of the year.

Based on the classic Mel Brooks movie of the same name, The Producers stars funnymen Jason Manford and Ross Noble along with Cory English, David Bedella, Tiffany Graves and Stephane Anelli.

The musical runs at the Grand until this Saturday, with tickets priced from £18.50 to £40.

Speaking about the production, Jason said: “I’m so thrilled to be starring in my favourite musical of all time. The show is a riot of laughs from start to finish.”

Ross, meanwhile, said he was “very excited” to be appearing.
