Wakefield band The Cribs have announced their first UK Tour for more than two years.

The band is preparing to release their as yet untitled sixth record in the new year and will mark the event by playing a series of what they called “intimate club dates” in February.

The three piece, made up of brothers Ryan, Gary and Ross Jarman, tweeted: “Come and hear the new album first and party with us, we’ve missed you guys.”

Sadly there was no Leeds date among the dates, which begin in Nottingham on February 11.

Drummer Ross said that the band were “ready to blow the cobwebs off”.

The new album has been produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars, who has previously produced records for the likes of Weezer and Hole.
