Leeds band Vitamin have announced a three-month residency at the Brudenell Social Club in Hyde Park.
The night, that they’ve named Brothers and Sisters, will be held on the second Tuesday of the month in the Brudenell Games Room and will feature line-ups picked by Vitamin. It promises Leeds’s best new bands, guest DJs, cheap drinks, regular giveaways and free sweets.
All aged 19 and from the Leeds area, Vitamin formed while at college together, and dropped out to focus on the band full-time when they signed to National Anthem Records (the label that launched the careers of Haim and Chvrches).
The band’s first EP, Giving it Up, was featured by NME, Q Magazine and played on XFM and BBC Radio 1 by Huw Stephens (as his Single of the Week), Phil Taggart and Jo Good, which resulted in the band appearing twice at Leeds Festival; once on the ‘Welcome to Leeds Stage’ and on the BBC Introducing Stage.
The badn says they’ve called the residency Brothers and Sisters because the night is aimed at bringing together a new kinship between music lovers, party-goers and artists in Leeds and is an open door to people looking for a unique atmosphere with exciting bands and DJs.
It launches on Tuesday October 13 with support from Marsicans and Pik. On November 10 they’ll be supported by Polo and Krrum while on December 8 it’ll be the turn of Actor and Snowfox.
Tickets are priced £3 and are available from Jumbo, Crash and www.brudenellsocialclub.co.uk
Later this month Vitamin will also be touring with Sundara Karma.
