Have your say

SaturdaY sees Leeds’s independent record store Jumbo celebrate 45 years of trading in Leeds.

Adam Gillison explains how life has changed for the store over the years in the video above, and there is plenty of live music and other events planned for its celebrations at the St John’s Centre. But, for now, staff have put together a list of some of the most important singles of the last 45 years. It’s not a definitive list, nor in any order. These records are chosen for a variety of reasons - musical influence, social context, how they encapsulate a sound, importance to Jumbo, or simple all-round greatness.
