Summer love-in for Leeds fans of pop-rockers

Australian pop-rockers 5 Seconds Of Summer are heading for the First Direct Arena in Leeds.

The band today announced a show at the £60m venue on Wednesday, June 3, next year.

The date will be part of a first ever arena tour for the lads, best known for hits such as She Looks So Perfect and Don’t Stop as well as their eponymous debut album.

Speaking about the Leeds gig, the band said: “We are going to try and make the best live show possible for you guys, this is such a huge thing for us to be able to come and see you all.

“We cannot wait to play you the album and loads more, we love you guys and hope you are as excited as we are.”

Tickets for the concert go on sale this Friday, priced from £25.

US rockers Pearl Jam play the arena tomorrow evening while next month’s attractions include TV favourites Ant ‘n’ Dec’s Takeaway on Tour show, which is stopping off at the venue on August 12 and 13.
