SINGER Rita Ora has been confirmed as a headliner for the 2015 Mobo Awards, which are being staged at the First Direct Leeds Arena next month.
She joins already announced performers Krept and Konan, FKA Twigs, Naughty Boy and Ella Eyre.
Ora is no stranger to the MOBO stage – she first performed in 2008 with Craig David and Tinchy Stryder. She later returned to take the award for Best Newcomer.
She said: “When I was asked to perform at this year’s MOBO Awards, of course I was going to say yes. MOBO gave me my first break on TV in 2008, when I performed as a featured artist before I had even released a single.”
Ora, currently serving as a judge on the X Factor, is also among the acts up for awards at this year’s event.
Her video Body On Me, in collaboration with Chris Brown, is nominated for Best Music Video. Click the screen to watch it now.
The MOBO Awards, standing for “Music of Black Origin”, are now in their 20th year. Tickets for the Leeds event have sold out, but it will be broadcast live on ITV2.
