Prince to perform at Leeds First Direct Arena

One of the greatest musical superstars of our time, Prince, is to perform at the First Direct Arena in Leeds this May.

This is the first time in nearly 20 years the icon has played in Yorkshire, last performing in the region back in 1995.

Tickets for the Friday, May 23, 2014 show go on sale this Friday. (May 2)

Prince Rogers Nelson has sold over 100 million records, has had 10 platinum albums and thirty top 40 singles. He has also won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, seven Grammies and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

Truly one of a kind, and the man behind hits such as The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Kiss, Purple Rain, and Little Red Corvette, Prince is one of the most successful recording artists of all time, and is renowned for his spectacular live shows.

Speaking ahead of his first direct arena show, General Manager Ben Williams said “We are delighted that we have been included on the tour for such an iconic artist. This show is not to be missed, it’s an amazing opportunity to see one of the biggest names in music in Yorkshire for the first time in nearly two decades.
