The Yorkshire Evening Post has rounded up everything you need to know about next year's headliners.

Foo Fighters

This will be the forth time Foo Fighters headline Leeds and Reading festival. They first performed alongside The Strokes and Guns N' Roses back in 2002.

They then went on to headline two further times, in 2005 and in 2012 alongside The Cure and Kasabian.

The American rock legends formed in Seattle in 1994 and were founded by former Nirvana drummer, Dave Grohl.

Four of the band's albums have won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album. Their latest album Concrete and Gold came out last year.

The 1975

It's the first time Manchester band The 1975 will headline the main stage at Leeds Festival.

Led by Matt Healy on vocals, the band first appeared on the smaller Festival Republic stage in 2013.

They then rose through the ranks to bag the 2016 headline slot on the NME/Radio 1 stage.

Their third studio album, 'A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships,' is due to be released on Friday, November 30.

Singles from the fourth album are expected to follow soon after, with manager Jamie Oborne confirming a February release date.

Post Malone

Post Malone clearly can't get enough of Leeds Festival, after already performing on the main stage in 2018.

He is is the first live act since Nirvana to go from an afternoon slot to bagging top of the bill on their second album in consecutive years.

This year his debut album 'Stoney' beat Michael Jackson's 34-year-old record for the most weeks spent on Billboard's Top R&B and Hip-Hop album chart.

His appearance follows the success of his 2018 release 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' which featured singles 'Rockstar' and 'Psycho.'

Twenty One Pilots

Co-headlining with Post Malone are American musical duo Twenty One Pilots.

The Ohio band released their fifth studio album 'Trench' in early October 2018 before embarking on their worldwide 'Bandito' tour.

The band have performed before in 2016, when lead singer, Tyler Josephs, was involved in a bottling incident as he attempted to crowd-surf in a half-empty Radio One tent.
