A group of 11 talented musicians will bring their fusion of Indian and Western music to Leeds for the first time.

Project 12 will perform at the Belgrave Music Hall at 7pm on Friday, January 16.

Sitarist Jasdeep Singh Degun, pictured, was born and bred in Moortown and has performed at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall and Buckingham Palace for Prince Harry.

He said: “We have all grown up enjoying a mix of music styles, from Western R’n’B and hip hop to classical Indian ragas.

“Project 12 is a product of our past and our urge to create something exclusive and new.”

Tickets to the gig, which has been organised through Leeds-based South Asian Arts-uk, cost up £9 or £5 for concessions. Visit www.saa-uk.org for details.
