Leeds band I Concur unveil new single

I Concur October 4 @ Brudenell Social Club

First surfacing last year as a support band for The Hold Steady, Leeds band i concur made their mark with a track on Dance to the Radio's Out of the Woods and Trees compilation.

Tunefully grand, Decimal Places revealed a four-piece as much in love with Mid-West indie band The National as post-rockers such as Mogwai and Explosions in the Sky. That it was about singer Tim Hann's fascination with "the mistakes of the South Korean stem cell scientist Woo Sung Hwak" only added to its leftfield appeal.

Since then the band have gone on to sign to Headingley label Brew Records and released a single, Lucky, earlier this year.

Next week they return will a follow-up, produced by Forward Russia! singer Tom Woodhead. Called Oblige, it's "an ode to the futility of being in a band which is slowly breaking apart at the seams" and is coming out on 7in and download on Monday.

To usher in the release, the band hold a launch party with Napoleon IIIrd, Dino Pile-up and AnteAter at the Brudenell Social Club on Saturday.
