The singer, who began her music career in the 1950s performing alongside her brother, sister and cousins as Gladys Knight and The Pips, will play the city’s FirstDirect Arena on July 5.
Her only other British dates are at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the Edinburgh Festival Theatre and Nottingham Royal Concert Hall the same week. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
Miss Knight’s hits include Midnight Train To Georgia, which was named one of the greatest songs of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.
She has recorded more than 40 albums and been honoured with a place in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
