Gig review: Rita Ora

Have your say

Rita Ora was in town for the last leg of her Radioactive tour and treated a raucous 02 Academy to a quite stunning performance.

The pop princess, who was born in Kosovo, appeared in a quarantine box as she opened up her show with her latest single Radioactive.

Ora – dressed in a metallic cat suit designed by Emilio Pucci – was in fine form throughout as she dedicated her first number one Hot Right Now to her fans.

The urban star – who has had three UK number ones – made her way through her latest album Ora, giving the audience an exclusive debut performance of Fair, which is released at the end of the year.

Before performing a stripped back version of Meet Ya, the Shine Ya Light singer made one young man’s night after pulling him on to the stage, and performing Hello, Hi, Goodbye at his knee.

Changing into a variety of outfit’s throughout the show, she was highly impressive and does a fatastic live show.

After becoming one of pop’s biggest breakthrough stars last year, Ora is clearly set for a huge career in the industry.

She ended the night in style by performing what is probably her best-known hit, How We Do (Party).
