This weekend will see the award winning Brudenell Social Club host the second Welcome to the North festival on Saturday July 1.
The festival showcases the best rising and emerging Northern talent currently on the scene as is run by local Otley-based promoter George Holmes.
This year’s biggest acts are The Sundowners, Bang Bang Romeo, The Vryll Society and Hello Operator and Leeds favourites The Strawberries have also recently been added to the bill.
The event is being supported by US beer brand PABST Blue Ribbon who are moving into the music scene, supporting grass roots venues and artists across the UK.
Event organiser George Holmes added: “To have a beer like PBR on board is absolutely great. It’s refreshing to work with a brand who genuinely cares about music and the arts, regardless of genre. It makes a change for a brand to be happy to support, and to give to the venue, or artists without asking for a heap of mandatories in return. I’m hoping that this is just the beginning of this relationship and that WTTN and PBR will grow together over time.”
Tickets are priced @ £12+bf and available from See Tickets, Crash Records and Jumbo Records.
