The highlights of Kate Rusby's Underneath the Stars festival

Organised by the family production team of Yorkshire’s Kate Rusby, the festival will offer an array of music, workshops, arts, crafts and food stalls.

Acts include Grammy Award winning songwriter and activist Steve Earle with his band The Dukes, Mercury Music Prize-nominated and four-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Award-winning singer-songwriter Kate Rusby, George Hinchliffe’s Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Lau, Fat Suit, Lori Watson, Grace Petrie and Estebel.

Best-selling author Joanne Harris will be presenting an audio-visual show combining original music, songs and stories with The Storytime Band while The Adventures of Andy Kershaw - a one-man audio-visual show from the broadcaster and foreign correspondent - is sure to be a highlight.

There is also storytelling, immersive street theatre, circus performances, workshops, a crafty kids area, lively street-arts performers, a new Makers’ Market, handmade crafts and vintage stalls, boutique street food vendors and bar areas.

Underneath the Stars runs from July 20 to 22. Weekend tickets are £140 for an adult, £125 for concessions, £40 for seven to 17-year-olds, and free for under sevens. Day tickets start at £50 and camping is available from £15. For tickets, visit underthestarsfest.co.uk
