Northern Ballet aims to make Christmas dreams come true this year with a tour of festive family favourite The Nutcracker.

The Leeds-based ballet will tour throughout November before returning to Leeds Grand Theatre for its annual Christmas season from December 16 to January 2.

The show follows the adventures of Clara whose Nutcracker doll Christmas present proves to be no ordinary toy. Northern Ballet artistic director David Nixon said: “The Nutcracker is one of the world’s most popular classical ballets and holds a special place in the hearts of audiences young and old.”
