Star set to return to city in new show

Jason Donovan is to return to Leeds playing '˜the father of rock '˜n' roll' record producer Sam Phillips in award-winning musical Million Dollar Quartet.

The show tells the story of the famous recording session when Phillips brought together Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley.

The former Neighbours star has been a regular at Leeds Grand Theatre over recent years, starring in The King’s Speech, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Sound of Music.

In March he came to Leeds Town Hall on his Ten Good Reasons Greatest Hits tour.

Million Dollar Quartet is at Leeds Grand Theatre from November 7 to 12.
