Here's a handy guide of some of the best events happening at the city's culture venues. Which will you choose to do?
1. Lotherton Hall
Take a trip to Lotherton on June 16 at 2pm for a show with Tayo Aluko featuring songs, poetry and prose. Aluko showcases his baritone voice in a wide-ranging programme, from folk songs to jazz and opera. This will be performed outdoors in the walled garden and will have limited seating available.
2. Leeds Kirkgate Market
Head to Leeds Kirkgate Market to see quality contemporary art and high quality craft on display. The work will be available to purchase from artists and crafters who are mostly from Leeds and Yorkshire. This is a free speciality market taking place on Saturday, June 19 from 10am.
3. Leeds Playhouse
A free, foyer exhibition celebrating 50 years of Leeds Playhouse and its many memorable shows and events. Curated by Courtney Spencer, the exhibition which marks the theatre's reopening includes illustrations by artist Cait McEniff. It is inspired by Playhouse memories and draws on the theatre's archive.
