INDIE50 seeks to celebrate heroes of local music scene

The INDIE50 is a newly launched grassroots music award which looks to champion the individuals propping up the UK's live music scene, and is looking at Leeds as one of the country's leading locations for amazing music.

This can be anyone from photographers, fanzine writers, sound technicians, venue owners, door staff, tireless promoters, designers – whoever makes an impact who deserves some credit for what they do and contribute to the industry.

The idea is to shine a light on some of the characters that may be lurking in the shadows of the live circuit, but make it what it is – those who underpin it, who are its foundations, but do not get any credit for their efforts. Nominations can be made here: www.indie50.co.uk.
