It will be the first of four Party in the Park evening concerts at the park this summer, between June and September, bosses have announced.

BUY TICKETS: Party In The Park admission is free for visitors attending during the day, season pass holders and holiday village guests. Concert goers can get one hour of theme park and zoo fun, with entry from 5pm, followed by an evening of live entertainment, for just £10. Buy tickets and get more information at www.flamingoland.co.uk.

Those wanting to make a weekend of it and stay the night in a holiday home, lodge or cottage in the adjacent Holiday Village, subject to availability, should call 0800 40 888 40.

Party in the Park has become a firm Flamingo Land favourite, with thousands of visitors enjoying previous star guests including Scouting for Girls, Heather Small, Union J, and many more.

The Yorkshire venue in Kirby Misperton - a short drive between Scarborough and York - is handy for repeat visits from all over the region. It is just over an hour from Leeds and less than two hours from Sheffield.

Big names for the venue's other three outdoor Party In The Park events this year have yet to be announced.

Merrygold shot to fame in chart-topping boy band JLS after they were discovered on the X Factor.

His latest solo singles include Get Stupid and Precious.

In 2013 he became a judge on the TV dance talent show Got to Dance and last autumn he took part in TV hit show Strictly Come Dancing.

Sarah Mills, Director of Marketing at Flamingo Land Resort, said: “Party in the Park has been hugely successful over the last four years and the concert with Aston is a great way to spend an evening over the Spring Bank school holidays.

"Guests can buy a theme park ticket for the day which then gives them free access to the concert.

"Alternatively they can arrive at 5pm for an hour in the theme park followed by the concert for just £10 each.”

The venue boasts a wide variety of food and drink outlets around the outdoor Riverside One stage, so concert goers and other visitors can make it a social occasion.

The concert will include a full supporting bill from 6pm and the event ends around 10.30pm.

Tickets are on sale on the Flamingo Land website - under Advanced Tickets.

Those wanting to make a weekend of it and stay the night in a holiday home, lodge or cottage in the adjacent Holiday Village, should call 0800 408 8840
