West Yorkshire man due in court charged with causing death of woman in crash

A man was due to appear before Bradford magistrates today charged with causing the death of a woman in a crash on Monday (May 10).

Jamie Taylor, 41, of Hendford Drive, Bradford was due to appear at the morning session of Bradford Magistrates Court today ( May 14) charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of Iram Shahzadi, 39.

He was also charged with causing death whilst disqualified from driving, causing death whilst uninsured and unlicensed, driving whilst disqualified, failing to stop after an accident and driving without insurance and without an MOT, police said.

Enquiries remain ongoing into the incident which the victim was struck by a car at the junction of Hinchliffe Street and Beech Terrace at about 3pm on Monday May 10.
