Tottenham Hotspur swatted aside, now bring on the return of Leeds United fans to Elland Road

Would have been a belter at Saturday wouldn’t it?

Elland Road, in the Spring rain, a ‘big team’ in town, Bielsa’s boys doing the business, Bamford on target, Southgate impressed, Bale and Kane sent packing. Marvelous stuff.

Not long though now, eh. Just 13 days until Leeds United fans will be allowed back into Elland Road to watch their beloved team in action.

Typical, you wait 17 years to watch a Premier League game and when you finally do Leeds are playing a team headed back down to the Championship, but hey, not everything is perfect.

What that fixture with West Brom on Sunday May 23 should show us is just how well Leeds have done on their first season back in the Premier League.

West Brom came up from the Championship with Leeds last season but have lasted only one season. Fulham who were also promoted, look like also being relegated.

The R-Word has not been uttered once around Elland Road or Thorp Arch this season, with god reason. Leeds have established themselves as a solid Premier League club. They look the part on and off the pitch, never more so than when tearing Tottenham Hotspur to shreds.
