I am Doner offering up heart-shaped kebabs for Valentine's Day

The award winning kebab shop, which first opened up in Headingley before expanding to the city centre and Harrogate, has partnered up with Chef Angela Malik to create the limited edition kebabs.

There will be a meat version and plant-based version - with a choice of lamb heart or artichoke hearts.

Each come with fresh toppings including a kachumber salad, pickled red onion, red cabbage slaw and chutney.

The kebabs will be served on special heart-shaped breads.

Angela Malik said “It was really great to team up with I am Doner to create a unique and limited edition doner this Valentine’s Day.

"We’ve taken Indian flavours and created a recipe that is perfectly suited to the beautiful bread that I am Doner has become famous for.”

Founder of I am Doner, Paul Baron said: “Over the past few years we’ve been surprised at how many people turn to us as a treat on Valentine’s Day, we decided to mark it with special kebabs this year. Angela has cracked a recipe that you’ll fall in love with.”

The kebabs will be available in all three locations from the Friday, February 14 until Saturday, February 29.
