Northern Counties East: Pontefract and Pickering out to keep up the pressure on Handsworth

Pontefract’s title rivals Pickering Town meanwhile host Bridlington Town, while Hemsworth MW look to make it 10 losses on the trot for opponents Parkgate.

Harrogate Railway will be hoping that Hemsworth can get a result as they continue to climb away from the relegation zone. They aim for a third win on the bounce as they welcome an out-of-form Garforth Town side keen to end Railway’s short surge.

A disappointing second league defeat of the season to title rivals Yorkshire Amateur has left Division One leaders Knaresborough Town without their recent air of invincibility.

A resurgent AFC Emley will therefore head to Knaresborough with stronger hopes of adding to their turn in results, however the league-leaders’ recent 4-0 League Cup win at Winterton Rangers suggests it may have just been just a short a blip.

However, no side can be more confident at the moment than the Yorkshire Amateur, with their victory over Knaresbrough signalling they could pose a real challenge for the league title, with tomorrow seeing them travel to struggling Retford United.

Also recently-rejuvenated are Glasshoughton Welfare, who look to further halt Hallam’s fading play-off pursuit when they travel there tomorrow, while a win for Selby Town can strengthen their grip on the final play-off place when they travel to Winterton Rangers.

Nostell MW can also put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone in their visit to fellow strugglers FC Bolsover, who have lost nine of their last 10 outings.
