LEEDS Carnegie have agreed new one-year contracts with centre Pete Lucock and props James Currie and Ben Hooper.

Lucock, 20, made his debut two seasons ago having emerged from the club’s academy, 25-year-old Hooper moved to Headingley from Rotherham last summer and Currie, 23, joined on loan from Worcester Warriors at the end of last season.

Director of rugby Chris Gibson said: “We are delighted to have agreed new deals with all three players.

“Pete has played a lot of rugby for a player of his age and was an integral part of our squad last season.

“Ben is part of a strong front row unit within our squad and I am sure he will develop under forwards coach Tommy McGee, in particular, this season.

“James came to us from Aviva Premiership side Worcester on loan last season and proved his worth during that spell.

“We are particularly pleased that he wants to remain part of squad for next season.”
