The Lions signed off their Nethermoor campaign with a whimper on Saturday when they were beaten by Woking.

However, Sean St Ledger and his team will be looking to sign-off a frustrating campaign on a positive note as the club aim to bounce back next season.

This evening’s hosts were relegated at the weekend following a 1-1 draw with Hartlepool United at Victoria Park, and will be playing in the sixth tier of English football for the first time in their history next season.

The home side are likely to be greeted by a less-than-supportive crowd, something that could benefit Guiseley as they search for their first away win since Boxing Day – a 2-0 victory over 10-man Chester.

St Ledger was critical of his players following Saturday’s defeat to Woking, but he did reserve praise for Dayle Southwell, who scored a superb goal, and Rowan Liburd. He said: “I have to give credit to Dayle and Rowan because I told them they weren’t good enough and that they would be coming off if they didn’t buck their ideas up, and, to be fair to them, they did.”

Following the trip to Torquay, the Lions travel to play-off-chasing Boreham Wood for their final game of the season on Saturday.
