WINGER LUKE Briscoe could play for Featherstone Rovers in tomorrow's massive home showdown with London Broncos (3pm), after turning out for Leeds Rhinos last night.

Briscoe played for Leeds against Widnes, but has been named in Rovers’ initial 19-man squad, along with fellow Rhinos Cameron Smith – who made his debut in last week’s 60-4 thrashing of Swinton Lions – and Josh Walters.

Walters has been a regular for Rhinos this season and has played only twice for Rovers, scoring three tries.

Matty Wildie will miss the game after picking up a one match ban from the RFL’s match review panel for using “foul and abusive language to a match official”.

With Martyn Ridyard and Tom Holmes unavailable due to injury Rovers will be short of play-makers for their biggest league game since they beat Bradford Bulls in the final round of the regular Championship season two years ago.

Connor Farrell and Chris Ulugia also remain on the long-term casualty list, but forwards James Lockwood, Sam Brooks and Brad Knowles are set to return after missing last week’s match.

Rovers are third in the Betfred Championship, one place and a point ahead of London with two games remaining and a Rovers win could secure their third successive appearance in the Qualifiers.
