Wakefield Trinity Wildcats were today stepping up efforts to sign loan winger Chris Riley on a permanent deal after Warrington Wolves confirmed he will be leaving them at the end of the season.
Riley has spent most of the season at Wakefield after making just one appearance - in the opening game of the campaign - for Warrington this year.
He has scored 120 tries - the third-most by a Warrington-born player - in 180 appearances for the Wolves.
Warrington have also revealed Danny Bridge, who had a loan spell at Featherstone Rovers earlier in the campaign, will leave at the end of this season, along with Trent Waterhouse, Jordan Burke, James Saltonstall and Gavin Bennion.
Michael Monaghan will retire after Warrington’s play-offs campaign.
