Prop Jacob Fairbank could make his Wakefield Trinity Wildcats debut away to Hull on Sunday, after today joining the club on a month’s loan from Huddersfield Giants.
The 24-year-old has 20 Super League appearances under his belt at Huddersfield and during loan spells with Bradford Bulls and London Broncos.
He has also played on dual-registration at Batley Bulldogs.
Wakefield coach Richard Agar said: “We’ve been in a little bit of a period where we’ve picked some injuries up and we’ve got some guys who are getting back to match fitness.
“We felt it will boost our ranks in the middle of the field, initially for a month. He’s got a terrific engine so we think he’ll boost our squad and cover one or two issues we’ve got with injuries and fitness.”
Fairbank said: “I am hoping to get some match-time and some regular Super League games.
“I think it’s what I need, I need to be playing at this time of my career, rather than sitting on the sidelines at Huddersfield.”
