Coach Chris Chester will name his initial 19-man squad tomorrow and Jordan Baldwinson could remain in Trinity’s side to face his former club as both Anthony England and David Fifita will miss the West Yorkshire derby.

Baldwinson returned to Trinity’s 17 as a substitute for Monday’s 27-26 defeat at Hull, when both England and Fifita were ruled out. Neither will play this weekend and Chester admitted: “We are doing it tough at the minute up the middle, in terms of who we’ve got on the sidelines.”

England is expected to be back in action against St Helens on April 15 with Fifita returning to the team the following Friday, at Salford Red Devils. Chester confirmed: “Ingy got a groin injury against Castleford [last Thursday]. It’s not going to be a long-term thing, we are hoping he will be back for the St Helens game, which would be a big boost.”

Fifita was not named in the squad to face Tigers last week, but was drafted in among the substitutes. Chester added: “He has got an ongoing groin problem. He has been getting injected and he’s not been able to train so we’ve just made a decision to give him two weeks’ complete rest.

“In that time we’ve let him go home to see his wife and kids in Australia.

“He will be back in the country on April 16 or 17.”
