akefield hooker Scott Moore has been banned for four matches after being found guilty of gouging.

Moore denied the offence when he attended a disciplinary hearing at Rugby Football League headquarters in Leeds accompanied by the club’s legal representative.

However, after a three-hour hearing, the three-man tribunal found Moore guilty of the grade E offence on Widnes half-back Aaron Heremaia during the club’s victory over the Vikings last month. Moore, who has just completed a two-match ban for a high tackle, will start his suspension at the Magic Weekend but will be free for the Wildcats’ Challenge Cup quarter-final against Huddersfield on June 23.

Wildcats will also be without prop Anthony England for Sunday’s game against Catalans Dragons at Newcastle after he was given a one-match for punching. England was charged with a grade A offence after being sin-binned during the Wildcats’ 36-28 victory over his former club Warrington.

Leeds stand-off Liam Sutcliffe will lose his ever-present record and sit out Saturday’s Grand Final rematch with Wigan because of suspension.

Sutcliffe, one of only three players to have appeared in all 15 league and cup matches for the champions in their troubled season so far, submitted an early-guilty plea to a grade B offence of a dangerous throw on Castleford centre Ben Crooks during his side’s 52-12 home defeat by the Tigers.

He was handed a one-match ban, which will force him to sit out the last match of the opening day of the Dacia Magic Weekend in Newcastle.

Salford full-back or winger Niall Evalds will miss his club’s opening game against Widnes after admitting a grade B offence of making dangerous contact on St Helens centre Mark Percival during their 34-20 Super League defeat at Langtree Park.

Hull prop Liam Watts has been cleared to play in the derby against Hull KR on Sunday after admitting a minor grade A dangerous tackle on Wigan centre Dan Sarginson during his side’s 30-16 win over the Warriors.
