Leeds sides Hunslet and Oulton handed Challenge Cup derby tie

A LEEDS derby was the highlight of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup third round draw.

Hunslet – of Betfred League One – will be at home to community neighbours Oulton Raiders, who finished top of National Conference Division Two last year.

The third round, to be played over the weekend of February 24-25, features 14 League One sides and 12 teams from the community game or armed forces.

Hunslet Club Parkside – who have been promoted from the Pennine League to Conference Premier Division in successive seasons, all as champions – were paired at home with Workington Town.

The Cumbrian side are coached by former Bradford Bulls and St Helens star Leon Pryce and have signed ex-Leeds Rhinos prop Ryan Bailey following his departure from Toronto Wolfpack.

Featherstone Lions were rewarded for their victory against Thatto Heath Crusaders in Round 2 with an away tie against Oldham.

Batley Boys will visit fellow amateurs Normanton Knights in a West Yorkshire derby.

Ties to be played on the weekend of February 24-25.
