ENGLAND WINGER Ryan Hall says Leeds Rhinos must build on their confidence-lifting win over Hull KR.
Leeds are back in action in three days’ time when in-form Castleford Tigers visit Headingley Carnegie for a crunch West Yorkshire derby.
Rhinos put some poor recent form behind them when they ran in five late tries to secure a 30-6 win over Hull KR on Friday night.
But Hall warned: “The thing with rugby is, doing it once is not good enough – you need to do it consistently.
“We have been good at that in recent years, stringing good performances together at the end of the year.
“We are at the run-in to the finals now and it is nice to get a good performance like that under our belt.
“Hopefully we can take it into this week’s game.
“We are really looking forward to it.
“It’s a top-of-the-table clash and a crucial game in everyone’s eyes and we are looking to come up with a similar sort of performance.”
Rhinos were boosted last week by the return from injury of Rob Burrow, Kevin Sinfield, Carl Ablett and Mitch Achurch.
More long-term casualties could be back on Thursday and Hall said: “It is good to get players back on the field.
“Rob is a big part of what we do and he showed that (last Friday).
“He is a special player and we have missed the direction Kev gives us as well.
“We certainly played for the full 80.
“Even though it took us a while to get on the scoreboard I think the damage we did when it was 0-0 paid off and that’s why we scored a few tries late on.”
