Forward Stevie Ward has been named in Leeds Rhinos’ initial 19-man squad for Thursday’s Betfred Super League showdown with Hull KR at Elland Road.
Ward has not played since last October’s Grand Final. He underwent shoulder surgery in the closed-season and missed all Rhinos’ warm-up games as well as last Thursday’s opening win at Warrington Wolves.
Prop Mitch Garbutt, who was unavailable last week due to a dead leg, is also included, along with full-back Ashton Golding.
Forward Nathaniel Peteru drops out after suffering a biceps injury during his debut last week.
Hull KR coach Tim Sheens has named an unchanged 19 and will select from the players on duty in last Friday’s 28-6 home loss to Wakefield Trinity, plus half-back Chris Atkin and forward Jordan Walne.
