LEEDS RHINOS forward Brett Ferres is set to make his 300th career appearance against his former and hometown club Castleford Tigers tomorrow night.
Ferres has played 36 games for Leeds and made 77 appearances for Huddersfield, 89 with Castleford, 41 for Wakefield, 39 with Bradford and 17 for England. It will also be second-row Stevie Ward’s 100th game for Leeds and Tigers half-back Luke Gale’s 200th Super League appearance, after 68 for Harlequins, 58 for Bradford and 73 with Castleford. He needs seven goal to reach 500 in Super League.
Jamie Jones-Buchanan is in contention for Rhinos after suspension and Ashton Golding (hamstring) and Rob Burrow (shoulder) could return from injury, but Carl Ablett drops out due to illness. Tigers are without captain Michael Shenton (knee) so Jy Hitchcox or Joel Monaghan will come in, possibly on the wing with Greg Minikin moving to centre.
Prop Gadwin Springer has recovered from a hamstring injury and is set to replace Andy Lynch and half-back Tom Holmes is also in contention.
