AT LEAST two key players will be rested when Leeds Rhinos take on Hull at KC Stadium tonight.

With a Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final against Hull KR looming in eight days’ time, Rhinos coach Brian McDermott has left centres Kallum Watkins and Joel Moon out of his initial 19-man squad.

Full-back Ashton Golding, winger Ash Handley, hooker Robbie Ward and back-rower Josh Walters are all in line for a call-up.

Golding played twice earlier in the season, but only returned – for Rhinos under-19s – from a long-term back injury last week.

Brett Delaney (hamstring) will not be risked and Liam Sutcliffe (knee), Paul Aiton (broken arm) and Jamie Jones-Buchanan (quad) have all been ruled out for the season.

Prop Adam Cuthbertson was named in Rhinos’ initial 19, but is expected to miss the game due to a finger injury. If selected, Danny McGuire will make his 400th career appearance tonight. McGuire has played 372 games for Leeds since 2001, to go with representative appearances for Great Britain (12 Tests, 2004 and 2006-2007), England (seven games, 2008-2009), England ‘A’ (six games, 2002-2003) and England under-21s (two games, 2001).

Hull – bidding to avoid a fourth loss of the season to Leeds – are without Setaimata Sa and Jordan Thompson from the side which won at St Helens last week.
