It begins on Boxing Day (11.30am) with the traditional Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge against Wakefield Trinity, this time being played at Belle Vue due to the construction work at Emerald Headingley Stadium.

But then Leeds will break new ground when a side will travel to play Coventry on Friday January 19 (7.45pm) at the Butts Park Arena.

The last time clubs from the two cities met was in 1913 when Leeds triumphed 102-0 in what is still a record score for the blue and amber.

Rhinos visit the Mend-A-Hose Jungle to face last year’s League Leaders Shield winners Castleford on Sunday January 21 (3pm).

They journey to Featherstone Rovers on Friday January 26 before facing Keighley Cougars at Lawkholme Lane for Brendon Rawlins’ testimonial on Sunday February 4 (3pm).

Finally, Leeds visit Hunslet RLFC at the South Leeds Stadium in the Harry Jepson OBE Memorial Cup on Friday February 9 (7.30pm).
