LEEDS RHINOS are sweating on the fitness of key players ahead of tonight’s crucial trip to Huddersfield Giants.

Skipper Kevin Sinfield has been named in Rhinos’ initial 19-man squad, just eight days after suffering a severe dead leg in the home defeat by Castleford Tigers.

Half-back/hooker Rob Burrow, who has missed three games since sustaining a quad muscle injury in Leeds’ Challenge Cup final triumph, is also included, but coach Brian McDermott will have to decide whether to gamble on two of his star men’s fitness a week ahead of a Super League semi-final.

Centre/second-row Jimmy Keinhorst is back in contention after missing two games due to a facial injury and hooker Robbie Ward has also been drafted into the 19.

Brett Delaney drops out due to illness and joins Mitch Achurch (hand), Paul Aiton (arm), Liam Sutcliffe (knee) and Jamie Jones-Buchanan (quad) on the casualty list.

Giants have not defeated Rhinos in three meetings this year, but are unbeaten in five home games against Leeds.

Brett Ferres and Eorl Crabtree are back in contention after injury and Luke Robinson, Jodie Broughton and Oliver Roberts are also vying for a recall.

Jake Connor, Chris Bailey and Nathan Mason drop out from the side which won at Hull a week ago.
