At least two players could return when Leeds Rhinos visit Warrington Wolves on Friday.

Coach Brian McDermott will name his initial 19-man squad on Wednesday afternoon and Liam Sutcliffe is set to be included after serving a one-match ban.

Rob Burrow, who missed last Saturday’s 40-8 loss to Wigan Warriors at the Dacia Magic Weekend in Newcastle, is hopeful of featuring on Friday.

But club spokesman Phil Daly said Ryan Hall (ankle) and Tom Briscoe (shoulder) are more than a month away from making their comeback.

Stevie Ward, who has not played since suffering a major knee injury last September, has begun running and could be back in mid-July.

Ward has undergone three operations on the injured knee and minor surgery to repair some damage to a shoulder.

Joel Moon (groin), Carl Ablett (ankle), Mitch Garbutt (back) and Brett Delaney (hamstring) are around two weeks away, depending on their rate of recovery.

Beau Falloon, who has been sidelined due to a back proble, is now injury-free and continuing to work on his fitness.

Anthony Mullally suffered a dislocated finger against Wigan, which went through the skin, but x-rays have revealed no break and he said he is available for selection this week.
