Star duo Zak Hardaker and Adam Cuthbertson could return from injury when Leeds Rhinos travel to Huddersfield Giants on Friday.

Hardaker has been named in Rhinos’ initial 19-man squad for the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup sixth round tie after missing last week’s league meeting between the sides due to concussion.

Cuthbertson has been sidelined for four games because of an elbow injury, but is also in contention for the Cup showdown.

Jordan Baldwinson, who played on dual-registration for Featherstone Rovers last week, retains his place in the 19, but Cameron Smith drops out.

Players still on Rhinos’ casualty list are Tom Briscoe, Joel Moon, Ryan Hall, Danny McGuire, Beau Falloon, Carl Ablett, Stevie Ward and Brett Delaney.

Giants will be without on-loan winger Gene Ormsby, who has been recalled by Warrington Wolves.

Jared Simpson, Tyler Dickinson and Sam Wood are all vying for a call-up.

Leeds Rhinos’ 19-man squad is: Hardaker, Watkins, Burrow, Galloway, Cuthbertson, Jones-Buchanan, Sutcliffe, Singleton, Garbutt, Keinhorst, Achurch, Mullally, Walters, Handley, Golding, Baldwinson, Lilley, Ferres, L Briscoe.

Huddersfield Giants’ 19 is: McGillvary, Cudjoe, Joe Wardle, Murphy, Brough, Crabtree, Hinchcliffe, Lawrence, K Wood, Rapira, Ta’ai, Connor, Johnson, Mason, Roberts, Simpson, Dickinson, S Wood, Brierley.
