Scrum-half Rob Burrow (ill) and second-rower Carl Ablett (suspended) are set to return after missing last week’s 66-10 defeat at Castleford Tigers.

Winger Tom Briscoe was dropped eight days ago, with Ash Handley coming in for his first appearance of the season, but is poised to regain his place this evening.

Rhinos are still without five first-choice forwards as Jamie Jones-Buchanan (foot), Stevie Ward (hamstring) and Mitch Garbutt (pectoral muscle) miss out for a second successive game, alongside long-term casualties Keith Galloway (Achilles) and Brett Delaney (groin).

Catalans coach Laurent Frayssinous will make at least two changes to the team which drew with Widnes Vikings last Saturday. Julian Bousquet and Jason Baitieri are back in the squad and Vincent Duport and Lucas Albert remain in contention after being 18th and 19th man last week. Krisnan Inu and Thibaut Margalet drop out.

Rhinos’ under-19s are due to face Catalans in a curtain-raiser, kicking off at 5.30pm.
