2013

Paul McShane and Joel Moon both bagged a brace of tries for Rhinos in a 42-14 home win over Salford City Reds, in front of a 12,558 crowd.

Kevin Sinfield scored a try and seven goals for the new World Club champions and Kallum Watkins and Stevie Ward also crossed.

2008

Rhinos made it three successive wins at the start of the season with a 44-8 drubbing of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at Belle Vue.

Kevin Sinfield scored 16 points from a try and six goals and Scott Donald and Matt Diskin both touched down twice. Leeds’ other tries went to Keith Senior, Danny McGuire and Ali Lauitiiti.

Forty years ago today Leeds’ Challenge Cup hopes were wrecked by a 14-5 first round defeat to Hull at the Boulevard.

Terry Naylor scored Leeds’ try and Kevin Dick added a goal in front of a crowd of 15,119.

1958

Leeds recorded their sixth successive victory with a 28-2 demolition of Huddersfield at Headingley, Jeff Stevenson leading the way with two tries.

Others to cross the whitewash were Gordon Brown, Garry Hemingway, Trevor Whitehead and Keith McLennan and Lewis Jones chipped in with five goals.

1941

Leeds were beaten by the same opposition and scoreline as 40 years later, but at Headingley in the wartime league.

Dai Jenkins scored Leeds’ try and Charlie Eaton booted a goal in the 14-5 loss to Hull.
