Rhinos suffered a dismal 50-8 home loss to Wigan, with Ryan Hall scoring all their points in front of a 16,113 crowd.

Leeds avenged that defeat in the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup and play-offs.

Watched by a crowd of 15,873, Warrington Wolves were hammered 42-26 at Headingley.

Keith Senior and Brent Webb, both crossed twice, Danny McGuire, Clinton Toopi and Ian Kirke were the other try scorers and Kevin Sinfield added seven goals.

Rhinos’ six tries were shared in a 36-12 home win over London Broncos.

Iestyn Harris touched down and booted all the conversions, with Francis Cummins, Tonie Carroll, Kevin Sinfield, Chev Walker and Mark Calderwood all getting on the scoreboard.

The crowd was 10,535.

1996

Struggling Leeds were beaten 40-20 at home by Wigan Warriors, despite a strong performance from Graham Holroyd who scored a brace of tries and two goals.

George Mann and Francis Cummins also touched down, in front of a crowd of less than 10,000.
