Captain Danny McGuire has been named in the initial 19 for the first time since suffering knee damage in the Super League round one loss to Warrington Wolves on February 4.

Carl Ablett, who injured an ankle against Warrington Wolves 10 days later, is also included and hamstring victims Joel Moon and Brett Delaney could feature after missing last Friday’s trip to Wigan Warriors.

Jimmy Keinhorst is sidelined after suffering a calf strain last week and Jordan Lilley, ever-present so far this year, drops out.

Tom Briscoe, Ashton Golding and Stevie Ward remain on the long-term casualty list.

Jamie Jones-Buchanan, who returned from injury last week, is set to make his 300th Super League appearance, and it will be hooker Beau Falloon’s competitive home debut.

Saints are without Adam Swift, who sustained a leg injury against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats a week ago.

Travis Burns, Andre Savelio and Jack Owens are all back in contention.
