New signing Beau Falloon has been named in Rhinos’ initial 19-man squad, but is a fitness doubt after suffering a broken toe in training.

Stevie Ward (knee) and Jamie Jones-Buchanan (quad) remain sidelined by injuries sustained last season.

Recruits Keith Galloway and Brett Ferres are both poised to make their competitive debut.

Liam Sutcliffe could make his Super League comeback following surgery to repair knee ligament damage picked up against Hull last June. Jordan Lilley, who made one start and three substitute appearances in 2015, is also included.

Warrington’s initial 19 includes six new faces, led by goal kicking former Australia Test back Kurt Gidley, signed from Newcastle Knights.

The others are ex-Hull duo Tom Lineham and Joe Westerman, Jordan Cox (Hull KR), Jack Hughes (Wigan Warriors) and Benjamin Julien (Avignon). Former Rhinos prop Ryan Bailey is on the injured list.
