A GROUP of Leeds youngsters have achieved success in both codes of rugby.

West Park under-14s, coached by Andy Potter. are celebrating becoming Yorkshire champions for the fourth successive year after beating city rivals Morley in the final at Hull Ionians.

Seven of the team also play rugby league for Stanningley under-14s and have proved just as dominant in the 13-a-side version.

Coached by Nick Staveley, the Stanningley youngsters were crowned Yorkshire Champions in January and are also Rhinos Challenge champions and Leeds and District title holders.

Danielle Joslin, mother of player Denive Balmforth, said: “Not only are both teams incredibly talented, but they are the most amazing group of young men and testament to their coaches at both.”
