Jones-Buchanan has been named in Rhinos’ initial 19-man squad for what would be his first appearance since suffering a hamstring tear away to Catalans Dragons on March 28.

German international Jimmy Keinhorst - a centre who has recently been playing in the second-row on dual-registration with Hunslet Hawks - is also included.

Keinhorst, who scored two tries in Hunslet’s Kingstone Press Championship win at Workington Town last Sunday, has yet to feature for Rhinos this season, but could come into the side if Kallum Watkins fails a head test after suffering concussion in last week’s defeat by Warrington Wolves.

Rhinos have a doubt over second-rower Stevie Ward, who rolled an ankle against Warrington.

Wingers Ryan Hall (fractured wrist) and Tom Briscoe (shoulder) remain on the casualty list, alongside prop Kylie Leuluai (biceps).

Giants are without hooker Luke Robinson from the team which won at Hull last Friday.

Josh Johnson, Kruise Leeming and ex-Leeds winger Jodie Broughton are the players vying to take his place in the 17.
