Leeds Rhinos could welcome back England winger Ryan Hall for Saturday’s Ladbrokes Challenge Cup sixth round visit of Huddersfield Giants.

Hall has missed five matches due to a fractured wrist, but had the cast removed on Monday and has been named in Rhinos’ initial 19-man squad.

He won the Lance Todd Trophy, as man of the match, after scoring two tries in last year’s Challenge Cup final win over Castleford Tigers at Wembley.

Forward Jamie Jones-Buchanan, who was not risked against Widnes Vikings last Sunday because of a hamstring problem, is also included.

Kylie Leuluai, 18th man for the defeat five days ago, retains his place in the 19, but said earlier this week he is not yet ready to return following shoulder surgery.

Kevin Sinfield, who hasn’t been selected for the last two games, is in contention, with Jimmy Keinhorst - who started at centre against Widnes - and Josh Walters - one of the substitutes - dropping out from last week’s team.

Giants coach Paul Anderson has named forward Brett Ferres in his squad for the first time since he suffered an ankle injury at Easter in a tackle which earned Salford Red Devils’ Rangi Chase a seven-game ban.

Luke Robinson and Oliver Roberts are also in contention, with Kruise Leeming dropping out from the team which won at Salford last Friday.

Giants’ Jamie Ellis and Craig Huby both played for Castleford Tigers in last season’s Cup final loss to Leeds.

Leeds Rhinos’ initial 19 man squad is: Hardaker, Handley, Watkins, Moon, Hall, Sutcliffe, McGuire, Cuthbertson, Burrow, Singleton, S Ward, Ablett, Delaney, Aiton, Peacock, Achurch, Jones-Buchanan, Sinfield, Leuluai.

Huddersfield Giants’ initial 19-man squad is: Grix, McGillvary, Cudjoe, Connor, Murphy, Brough, Ellis, Crabtree, Wood, Huby, Hughes, Wardle, Ta’ai, Lawrence, Kopczak, Mullally, Ferres, Leeming, Roberts.
