THree more Leeds Rhinos players have joined Hunslet Hawks on dual-registration.
Back-row forward Josh Walters, prop Andy Yates and centre Jimmy Keinhorst are all now on the books at Hunslet, alongside Rhinos front-rower Robbie Mulhern, who has played in Hawks’ two Kingstone Press Championship fixtures so far.
Hunslet also recently signed Luke Briscoe and James Duckworth from Rhinos on one-year deals.
Robbie Ward played for Hawks in pre-season, but has also been appearing for Rhinos under-19s.
Yates signed for Leeds from Hunslet in 2013 and played one game for Hawks on dual-registration last year.
Keinhorst, the first German international to play in Super League, played 15 games on loan for Hunslet two years ago.
Hunslet director of rugby Darren Williams said: “Jimmy and Andy are no strangers to the club or the boys having been a part of our squad over the last two seasons, either on dual-registration or as Hunslet players.
“Both are quality players who created very good impressions in their previous stints with the club.
“Walters is an emerging back-rower who has already made nine Super League appearances having broken into the Rhinos first team squad last season.”
Rhinos forward Brett Delaney could also join Hunslet as he attempts to gain match fitness following knee and ankle injuries, but Hawks coach Barry Eaton said the Aussie will not feature against Dewsbury Rams this weekend.
“He doesn’t feel he is quite ready,” Eaton said.
“He only wants to play when he’s fully ready and he can give it 100 per cent.
“He is an outstanding player, so when he feels ready and if Brian [McDermott, Rhinos’ coach] thinks it’s the right thing and we think it’s right for us, we will consider it then.”
Meanwhile , Hawks are offering Leeds Rhinos pass holders the chance to buy a Hunslet season ticket for the reduced price of £90, on production of their Rhinos 2015 season ticket card.
Leeds members can also purchase a reduced price matchday ticket for £10 from the Hawks club office.
