London Broncos saw off Hunslet Hawks 34-12 at The Hive as the hunt for the top four in the Kingstone Press Championship heats up.

Wes Naiqama contributed 22 of those points for London scoring a hat-trick in the process. Matt Glee and Robbie Ward scored first-half tries for Hunslet. Hunslet got off to a promising start but Elliot Kear dashed in to score out of nowhere before London captain Naiqama touched down his first of the afternoon.

Barry Eaton’s men hit back on 22 minutes when the Parksiders punished Broncos for some sloppy play of their own. Late matchday inclusion Gee got the score. Hunslet levelled when another interchange, Ward, shot through the Broncos’ defence. Jordan Lilley converted.

London regained the lead 12 minutes into the second half through the ever-dangerous Oscar Thomas. Naiqama converted to make it 18-12, then kicked a penalty to take the Broncos out of reach. Naiqama added two quick tries to seal a hat-trick. And Rhys Williams galloped over soon after the restart to take the scores to 34-12 and put the result out of any doubt.
