Five of Leeds Rhinos' best overseas players from the Super League era

1: Kylie Leuluai: The New Zealand-born prop is Rhinos’ most successful import winning six Grand Finals and the Challenge Cup and league leaders’ shield twice each. He made 264 appearances for Leeds, second only to Eric Harris on the club’s all-time overseas list. He retired after the 2015 treble triumph and then revealed he had been playing despite a heart condition.

2: Ali Lauitiiti: The Kiwi Test forward was a mid-season signing from Auckland Warriors in 2004 and his 200 appearances for Leeds included five Grand Final victories. A brilliant ball-handler, Lauitiiti touched down 64 times for Rhinos including the club’s try of the season in 2006. He joined Wakefield Trinity after the 2011 title decider.

3: Brent Webb was Superman during 138 Super League games for Leeds, when he scored 73 tries. The Australian-born Kiwi international was signed from New Zealand Warriors ahead of the 2007 season and became a huge influence in Leeds’ three successive championships. His thrilling attacking play – and ability to create tries for others – made him a big fans’ favourite. He joined Catalans Dragons in 2013, but was forced to retire the following year with injury.

4: Signed from Manly Sea Eagles, winger Scott Donald took a while to settle in at Leeds, but became a Headingley hero. A lethal finisher, he crossed 77 times in 131 Super League appearances from 2006-2010 – including a classic try in the 2007 Grand Final win, the first of his three successive Old Trafford triumphs. He retired at the end of 2010.

5: Back-rower Brett Delaney is among only 11 overseas signings to play 200 or more games for Leeds. Signed from Gold Coast Titans in 2010 as a centre, he made 213 appearances, scoring 27 tries, before joining Featherstone Rovers last month. Hard as nails, Delaney collected three Grand Final rings despite being blighted by a series of injury setbacks.
